2 in 1: Garlic & Garlic flavored Vinegar
Biodynamic garlic is used to make this traditional pickle. The garlic is cultivated here in Agia Triada, Farsala, Thessaly, in our land of three generations. It is hand-picked and sorted before its immersion in organic vinegar. Thereafter, it is allowed to rest for the fermentation to proceed.
Garlic is highly nutritious with very few calories and is considered as having antibiotic properties. It is associated with many health benefits such as boosting of the immune system, reducing high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, improving bone health, contributing to the prevention of cancer and Alzheimer's disease and Dementia. It has also been used as an antiseptic, antibacterial, detoxifying and antifungal agent.
Caution is adviced in its excessive consumption; side effects may include digestive issues, acid reflux, and a risk of bleeding.
Our garlic pickle, a great meze for tsipouro, can also be used in cooking of dishes where garlic is an ingredient and an acidic taste is called upon, by its addition towards the end of cooking, or at serving.
