According to Mr.. Haris Georgakakis, dieting with no breakfast is NOT possible! The ideal proposition should be consisted preferably from a protein AND calcium source such as milk, cheese, yogurt, egg, tyrkey AND a carbohydrate source such as wholemeal bread, wholemeal rusks, honey etc. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that consuming whole grains can lead to increased energy expenditure., thus facilitating the effort for weight loss.
As for bread, rusks and other wholemeal baked goods, meaning pure carbohydrates, with honey or jam, it should be accompanied by a source of protein such as milk or yogurt for better satiety.
